Quoting & Surveying

Most London postcodes are surveyed within ten working days. Urgent jobs (leaks, damage, property-sale deadlines) can usually be fast-tracked within 48 hours.

Yes. Every site survey within our coverage area is free and carries no obligation – you do not pay a penny until you have signed off a fixed written quote.

It is a fixed quote, not an estimate. The number you sign off is the number you pay, unless the scope changes at your request or we uncover a genuinely unforeseeable issue behind existing finishes.

Pricing & Payment

A 30% deposit secures the start date and covers material ordering. Staged payments follow completion milestones, with the final 10% payable after snagging sign-off.

Yes – specifiers, architects, and interior designers qualify for trade discount. Email hello@tileinprogress.com with your company details and we will set up a trade account.

Any additional work is agreed and priced in writing before it begins. Additional work requires payment before commencement. We never add extras without a countersigned variance order.

Materials & Specification

Both paths work. We have trade accounts with Mandarin Stone, Porcelanosa, Fired Earth, and Mosaic Factory – discount is passed on. You are welcome to supply your own too. If we need to deliver materials ourselves, we may charge a delivery fee.

Yes – Victorian and Edwardian encaustic, geometric, and quarry tiles are a specialism. We source from Original Style, Craven Dunnill, and bespoke-replica manufacturers where necessary.

Currently we ship INTEGRA Prima products across the UK and Ireland only. European shipping is on the roadmap for late 2026.

Warranty & Aftercare

Every installation is covered by a 5-year written warranty covering workmanship, waterproofing integrity, tile adhesion, and grout performance. The warranty is transferable if you sell the property.

A 30-day post-handover check-in is included with every project. If anything needs adjustment in that window, we return to fix it at no cost. After that, warranty call-outs are handled within 5 working days.

Yes – a formal snagging walk-through is booked before final payment, and any items you flag are rectified before sign-off.

Logistics

All London postcodes (W, SW, TW, W4, KT, NW) plus selected Surrey commuter belt towns. If you do not see your area covered, please enquire to see if we can come to your area – we take out-of-area projects on a case-by-case basis.

We partner with a vetted plumber and electrician and coordinate their schedules under our project management. Their work is covered by our warranty.

Every site is dust-sheeted, corridors and stairs are covered with hardboard, and we clean down daily. Large jobs get a dedicated dust-extraction rig during cutting.
